BOUQUET

A pure expression of the unique terroir of the Blackhill Vineyard at Marybank Estate.

PALATE

Dark black fruits with coffee grinds and dark chocolate with complex earthy notes. The wine finishes with a luscious fruit sweetness. A serious wine but also immediately engaging.

GROWING CONDITIONS

Vintage 2022 was welcomed for its long cool ripening and the absence of serious consequences from the forecast La Niña influence. Although crop loads were down on those harvested in 2021, they were generally close to average and ripened well with the benefit of good-sized canopies.

FOOD PAIRING

Anything char-grilled will compliment perfectly and will cope with all sorts of strong flavours, for example blue cheese.
